Yalla, let’s eat oatmeal!! This recipe is going to change your perspective on the bland stuff that ya probably microwaved when you were a kid. I used steel cut oats for the extra texture and health benefits along with toppings that release energy throughout the day so that you feel satisfied and happy while your fasting the month of Ramadan. Even if you don’t practice, this a great breakfast to start of your morning in a health concise way. You can even make this recipe using old fashion oats overnight. This recipe is healthy and so delish. It’s a must.



 

Yalla, Let's Eat Oatmeal (serves1)

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup steel cut oats

  • 1 1/2 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk

  • 1 date chopped and pitted

  • 1/2 banana sliced

  • 6-9 walnuts chopped

  • palmful of blueberries

  • drizzle of honey (optional)

  • sprinkle of cinnamon

  • dash of salt

  • 1/4 tsp of peanut butter powder

Directions

  1. In a small sauce pan get your almond milk to a simmer with the salt and the peanut butter powder.

  2. When the milk simmers add your oatmeal. Let it cook on medium for 25 min uncovered.

  3. Pour oatmeal in the bowl and add your toppings. Sprinkle with a little cinnamon!

  4. Yalla, let's eat!
